Disclaimer

1. No Legal Advice

1.1. Merito is an information and preparation tool. Nothing on the Service is legal advice. The Service does not provide legal, immigration, tax, or other professional advice, and no content, analysis, template, draft, simulation, or output should be treated as legal advice or relied upon as a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney.

1.2. Immigration law is complex, fact-specific, and changes over time. General information provided by the Service may not apply to your situation and may be incomplete or out of date. Only a licensed attorney who reviews your specific circumstances can advise you on your matter.

2. Not a Law Firm; No Attorney-Client Relationship; No Privilege

2.1. Mind Arc LLC is not a law firm and is not a lawyer. It does not practice law and does not represent you.

2.2. Using the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Mind Arc LLC or any of its personnel.

2.3. No privilege. Information you place into the Service is not protected by the attorney-client privilege or the work-product doctrine as against Mind Arc LLC. If you need privileged, confidential legal advice, consult your attorney directly. (If you use the Service through your own attorney's Counsel workspace, your privilege relationship, if any, is with your attorney — not with Mind Arc LLC.)

3. No Prediction, Score, or Guarantee of Any Outcome

3.1. The Service does not predict immigration outcomes. No feature — including any analysis, readiness review, score, rating, severity label, checklist, pattern reference, or simulation — is a prediction, forecast, probability, or guarantee of how USCIS, any officer, any court, or any other authority will decide any matter.

3.2. The Service deliberately avoids approval-odds and probability language. Any indicator of "readiness," "strength," "coverage," or similar is a way of organizing your own preparation — not a statement about your likelihood of success.

3.3. Outcomes are decided by the government, not by us. Immigration decisions rest solely with the relevant authorities, based on their own review of a complete record and the law in effect at the time. We have no control over, and take no responsibility for, those decisions.

4. The Officer Simulator Is a Labeled Simulation

4.1. Any "officer," "adjudicator," or disposition feature in the Service is an educational simulation. It is clearly labeled and watermarked as a simulation and is not the view, opinion, or decision of any real USCIS officer or any government employee.

4.2. Simulated commentary is generated by software to help you think through how a reviewer might read a record. It reflects patterns and generalizations, not the actual reasoning of any decision-maker, and it does not predict any outcome. Do not treat simulated output as an official position.

5. References to Real Decisions Are Educational Pattern Data

5.1. Where the Service references real administrative or judicial decisions (for example, AAO decisions) or other public records, those references are provided as educational pattern material to illustrate how issues have been discussed. They are not legal precedent binding on your matter, not a guarantee, and not a representation that your facts match those cases.

5.2. Pattern observations, where shown, are structured summaries of tracked material. They are not predictions and do not state approval rates or probabilities. The applicability of any decision or pattern to your matter is a legal question for your attorney.

6. AI-Generated Output May Contain Errors

6.1. Many features use artificial intelligence. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, or wrong, and it can present incorrect information in a confident tone.

6.2. You are solely responsible for independently reviewing and verifying any AI-generated output before relying on it, sharing it, or acting on it. Do not submit anything to a government authority in reliance on AI output that has not been reviewed by a qualified person.

7. Drafting Tools Require Licensed-Attorney Review Before Filing

7.1. The Service includes drafting tools (for example, the AI Drafter and RFE-response scaffolds) that help produce draft text. Every output of these tools is a first draft, not final work product.

7.2. Do not file, submit, or rely on any drafted material until it has been reviewed, corrected, and approved by a licensed attorney authorized to practice in the relevant jurisdiction. Drafting assistance from software is not a substitute for an attorney's independent legal judgment about what to include, how to argue it, and whether to file it.

7.3. Attorney View, read-only sharing, and similar features are conveniences for your attorney's review. They do not make Mind Arc LLC your lawyer and do not shift responsibility for the final work product away from you and your attorney.

8. Your Responsibility and Independent Verification

8.1. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide, for the decisions you make, and for everything you file.

8.2. You must independently verify all facts, dates, eligibility criteria, deadlines, forms, and legal requirements against official government sources (such as USCIS) and with your attorney. Do not rely on the Service as your sole source.

8.3. No reliance. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree not to hold Mind Arc LLC responsible for any action you take, or decline to take, based on the Service, and you accept the disclaimers and limitations of liability in our Terms of Service.

9. Work With a Licensed Attorney

We strongly recommend that you retain a licensed immigration attorney for your matter. An attorney can evaluate your specific facts, advise you on strategy, and take responsibility for what is filed — none of which the Service does or can do.

10. No Warranty

The Service and all of its outputs are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, as further described in our Terms of Service. We do not warrant that any output is accurate, current, complete, or suitable for any matter, or that using the Service will lead to any particular result.

11. Changes to This Disclaimer

We may update this Disclaimer from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by a reasonable means before they take effect, and the "Last Updated" date will reflect the current version.
