Foundation
Every tool in Merito reads from one structured Case File, built once from your uploaded documents. Nothing downstream — score, canvas, audit, simulator — works from a real record until this exists.
Assessment
Score, Case Canvas, and Merito Audit each look at your file from a different angle — a readiness score, an evidence-to-criterion map, and a deterministic document check. Together they tell you exactly where the real gaps are.
Strengthen
This is a loop, not a single step: Opportunities, Radar, Citation Lens, and Expert Finder each surface a different way to close a specific gap Assessment found. Come back to this stage as many times as you need.
Position

Stress-test
Before an officer reads your file, see how it holds up under scrutiny. Officer Simulator, Devil's Advocate, and Debate Mode each argue against your own case from a different angle, so you find the weak points first.
File & watch
A final Pre-check pass (with attorney sign-off, when one is on the case) before filing, then Case Tracking picks up real USCIS status updates once your case is in the system.
Respond
This stage stays dormant unless USCIS actually issues a Request for Evidence — most cases never open it. If one arrives, RFE Studio gives you structured, objection-by-objection guidance for responding.

Do I have to follow the stages in order?
No — every stage is reachable directly at any time. The gates are advisory nudges ("recommended before this"), never locks.
What if I have more than one case?
The map follows your most recently active case. Each case gets its own journey — progress on one never affects another.
Does completing every stage mean my case will be approved?
