Inviting my attorney as a collaborator — what that actually looked like

Worked with an attorney throughout, and giving them collaborator access to my case turned out to be one of the more useful workflow decisions I made, compared to how we'd been exchanging documents before (email attachments, version confusion). Once they had access, they could see my evidence and drafts directly and leave comments tied to specific sections, rather than us going back and forth over email trying to describe which paragraph or exhibit we were each talking about. That specificity alone cut down on a surprising amount of miscommunication — "the second paragraph in the original contributions section" is a lot more precise when you're both looking at the exact same live document than when you're each looking at possibly different saved versions. One thing worth setting expectations on early: collaborator access doesn't mean they're doing the work for you, it means you're both looking at the same real-time picture. The actual gathering, drafting, and decision-making was still mine to do — the shared access just made the review and feedback loop faster and less error-prone.
