Evidence Vault saved me when a source page I'd cited went down

Genuinely didn't expect to need this until it mattered — I'd cited a conference program page listing me as a speaker, and months later, checking my exhibits before filing, that page had been taken down when the conference's site was redesigned. Having an archived, timestamped capture of the original page meant this wasn't a scramble to find an alternate source at the last minute. Worth doing proactively, not just when you notice a link might be at risk: any web-based evidence (a program listing, an online publication, a company announcement mentioning you) is a page you don't control, and pages disappear or change for reasons that have nothing to do with your case. Archiving it when you first cite it, not when you're about to file, means you're not doing panicked link-checking in the final weeks. I'll add one honest caveat: it's an availability/archival tool, not a replacement for getting the actual underlying document (a PDF, a downloaded copy) when that's possible — belt and suspenders is the right approach for anything genuinely load-bearing in your case.
