Deciding between filing now with a solid case vs. waiting for one more year of evidence

Had real evidence supporting three criteria comfortably, and a real question of whether to file now or wait roughly a year, by which point a fourth criterion would likely be solidly supported too. Sharing the framework that helped me decide, since I know this exact tradeoff comes up for a lot of people. What tipped it toward filing sooner for me: three well-documented, strongly evidenced criteria with a clear final-merits narrative is a complete, filing-ready case — a fourth criterion adds breadth, but doesn't fix anything that was actually missing. I also weighed the opportunity cost of waiting a year against the marginal benefit of one more criterion, and for my specific priorities (time was a real factor for me), filing with a strong three-criteria case won out. This isn't a universal answer — for someone whose three criteria are genuinely borderline rather than solid, waiting to build real strength might be the better call. The question I'd actually ask yourself: is what you already have complete and strong, or is it thin and hoping a future achievement will compensate? Those are very different situations calling for different decisions.
