Understanding credits before I accidentally ran through mine

Burned through more credits in my first week than I expected to, mostly from re-running the same analysis tools multiple times while I was still iterating on early, incomplete evidence. Sharing what I wish I'd understood going in. The tools are most valuable once you have a reasonably complete draft to run them against — running a full audit or the Officer Simulator against a half-finished file gives you feedback on a half-finished file, which you'll mostly want to re-run again later anyway once you've added more evidence. I'd have gotten more value per credit by doing more manual organizing and gap-filling first, then running the deeper analysis tools less frequently against more complete drafts. Not a complaint about the credit system itself — just a sequencing lesson: build up your evidence and a solid draft first using the free tools and your own organization, then spend credits on the deeper analysis tools when there's actually something substantial for them to analyze.
